The Celebration began Thursday with a carnival located at the Municipal Parking Lot along Vigo Street, between Third and Fourth Streets.

An eclectic selection of food and drinks will be available from vendors at the Riverfront Pavilion in downtown Vincennes Saturday, before and after the annual Fourth of July Parade, scheduled this year for 7:30 p.m. A local band, the Fender Benders, will perform at the Riverfront Pavilion following the parade.

The Vincennes American Legion Post 73 will present its annual fireworks show at dusk Saturday.  The Legion is still requesting donations to help pay for the cost of the fireworks display. Donations should be sent to Vincennes American Legion Post 73, P.O. Box 823, Vincennes, IN 47591.
