The year’s biggest full moon lights up the clear skies over downtown Vincennes on the evening of Dec. 12. The moon makes a trip around Earth every 29.5 days. The moon's average distance from earth is about 238,855 miles. Friday night it was just 221,560 miles away — the closest it’s been in a year.
