NOVEMBER
21-22 “The Downtown Christmas Stroll and Parade of Lights” will start Friday 6:30 with the “Parade of Lights” and the “Downtown Christmas Stroll” will continue Sat. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sun 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. There will be carriage rides, entertainment, shopping and food.
21 Lincoln High School choir’s will perform at the Downown Stroll, after the parade. The performance will be in the Van Eaton Building located at Third and Broadway Streets.
22 Children and Family Services will sponsor “Breakfast with Santa” on Nov. 22 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Rivet High School Annex located at 229 Church Street in Vincennes. Blue Eyes Photography will be on hand to the pictures with Santa. Tickets for the event is $5. The breakfast is being donated by Denny’s. 2 Speaker Todd Murray will present “Does HIV Look Like Me?” at Vincennes University’s Shircliff Theatre on Dec. 2, 11 a.m. (EST). The presentation is free and the public is invited.
3 The Vincennes University Music Department will welcome the holiday season with its annual Christmas Gala Concert on Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. (EST), at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center Theatre. The event is free and the public is invited. The concert will showcase Christmas songs in a variety of musical styles. Featured groups will include the Concert Band, Concert Choir, VU Connection, Jazz Combo, Percussion Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, String Ensemble, Blues Ensemble, and more. The evening will conclude with a holiday sing-a-long.

13 The 8th annual “South Knox Craft Show” will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the South Knox High School located on Highway 61 in Vincennes. Admission is $1. 19 On Friday, December 19, 2008, we will gather at Lincoln High School for the “Centennial Celebration and Holiday Banquet & Show.” There will be over an hour and a half of Christmas, seasonal, and other music. Come sing carols and see old friends. The banquet hall will open at 6:30 p.m., and the music and meal will begin at 7 p.m. More information. |

November 21 - Vincennes Downtown Christmas Stroll. The gallery will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. The Lincoln High School choir will be performing after the parade in the gallery. Light refreshments will be served.
December 8- Monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. 12 - “Hoosier Salon” closes 15 - “NWTAG Art Sale” begins with a reception from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Public invited. 20 - Gallery will be open to the public for the sale of art from Noon to 4 p.m. 21- Artists’ Gathering. Bring your art and join us for some good discussion and light refreshments as we celebrate the holidays.
January 12 - Monthly meeting, 5:30 p.m. First night for “Open Studio” 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.. Bring your art supplies and work along with your fellow artists. We can set up still life arrangements and or work from the model. Or just bring a current project and enjoy having some companionship while you work on your art.
